As a designer I seek to draw out the ideas and thoughts of clients that they have not been able to form into words or images. I begin with a wide canvas and plenty of options then value add from my vast experience and intuitive style, honing their ideas and desires into a particular style. A plan is then formed that is clear and specific, with quality, detail and budget at the forefront. With nearly 40 years of experience I am a specialist within all areas of creative design.
The elements that are always kept in mind in my approach include layering a space by building in interest and textures. Ensuring the space is not too contrived but has a sense of honest style whilst being relaxed with a sense of breezy living. It is important also that the lines are clean and edited and yet at the same time have a charming, lived in, appeal.

Decorating with beautiful objects and items that are personal to the individual or family will always add both character and a sense of a unique feel to any space. It can be the pieces of yesteryear that tell a story or from travels around the world.
The mood of the decor is influenced regardless if it be a modern home full of bold colours and statements or a more traditional character home. To have a surprise element in a treasured keepsake, piece of furniture or art, will add a conversational note. Both whimsical or theatrical touches can also give this effect.
